The Challenge

What needed to be designed

I used this piece to practise designing for shipping — separating welded sub-assemblies from bolt-on parts and writing a simple assembly guide.

The Approach

    Designed the crossed-leg frame as a welded sub-assembly that ships flat.

    Standardised 7 timber slats (3 back, 4 seat) bolted with hidden M8 fasteners.

    Produced shop drawings plus a one-page assembly guide.
