The Challenge

What needed to be designed

I wanted to practise building a complete consumer appliance — not just an exterior shell, but a believable assembly with door fit, interior tray, buttons, display cut-out, and ventilation pattern.

The Approach

    Modelled the main chassis, door, handle, and control panel as separate bodies in SolidWorks.

  2. 2

    Added functional details: button grid, display cut-out, side ventilation holes, and a glass turntable with rollers.

  3. 3

    Checked door clearances and panel gaps so the assembly looks ready for manufacturing review.
