The Challenge

What needed to be designed

I wanted to practise driving an ornamental design from parametric geometry — true radius arches, equally-spaced bars, and reusable finial library parts — instead of freehand.

The Approach

How DesignForge approached it

  1. 1

Modeled the arch as a true radius with equally-spaced vertical bars in SolidWorks.

  2. 2

Designed brass-tipped spear finials and a centre wheel ornament as reusable library parts.

  3. 3

Issued a 1:10 elevation with all bar centres, arch radius, and the ring kickplate pattern dimensioned.

The Deliverable

What was produced

Rendered view with finished finials and centre wheel emblem.
